Operations Assistant
Work Location: Hook, Hampshire
We are looking for an organised and driven team player to join EDMI as an Operations Assistant. Working with key internal departments and external customers and suppliers, this role will ensure EDMI’s Operations runs effectively and according to procedure. Reporting to the Operations Planning Manager, you will also be responsible for providing information, answering questions and requests and documenting and communicating the actions needed to management.
  • Create, maintain, report and develop a weekly and monthly diary of required actions and functions needed to meet all aspects of the business requirements
  • Maintain continuity of work operations, and document a weekly summary of reports, reporting past delivery performances, discovering risks, determining continuing needs
  • Day-to-day coordination and management of business operational activities including raising purchase orders, invoicing and goods receipting
  • Monitor, control and manage the relevant responsibilities to meet customer expectations and company goals
  • Liaise between customer, departments, and management, to ensure smooth operations delivery, and risk management reporting
  • Coordinate and manage tasks to ensure delivery within timelines
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationship through regular meetings and communications
  • Evaluate current duties to identify and recommend process improvements
  • Resolve administrative problems by analysing information; identifying and communicating solutions
There may also be some additional responsibilities including; systems and SAP administration and maintenance, projects involving requirements for operational support and change management.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum qualifications GCSEs and A Levels
  • Organisational astuteness
  • Previous exposure to process improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal reporting skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Previous experience in developing standards and processes
