EDMI again shone as a leader at the 2015 Australian Utility Week, at Luna Park from 24 to 25 November.
A fresh approach by organisers provided an invigorating update to conference topics, which focused on new energy and consumer value-adding strategies.
In his conference presentation, Andrew Thomas, Executive Director – EDMI Australasia laid out his vision for the future of energy in Australia, exploring further the concept of “Communification of Energy”. Mr Thomas’s message that the industry should to work together to improve services, else face external disruptions from those who could, was well received.
At the marquee EDMI stand, current and prospective customers were keen to see new products and services, particularly those aimed at solar dual fuel consumers, and new metering advances like the coming Mk7T and pattern approved Mk10H and Mk11. EDMI Australasia were also pleased to welcome international guests from key utilities in Macau and Malaysia, introduced through EDMI regional managers.
