1.8 million Smart Meters on GSM/GPRS deployed worldwide

In August this year, EDMI shipped its 1.8 millionth meter/device based on GSM/GPRS Communications Technology.
In August this year, EDMI shipped its 1.8 millionth meter/device based on GSM/GPRS communication technology. This technology has been shipped to many countries and topologies such as NZ, Africa and Thailand among others and in build-up cities as well as rural environs.
The technology has been proven to deliver 99.5% and higher first time read for AMI infrastructure and other advanced uses.
Commercially it has been proven and accepted as a viable medium for many applications ranging from mass rollouts to smaller sub metering systems.
EDMI offering for communications for M2M now comprises of multiple communications options.
