EDMI announces that Andrew Thomas has been appointed the new Chief Operating Officer & Director of EDMI Group, effective from 1 July 2025.
Andrew Thomas has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer & Director for EDMI Group. He is accountable for operational and strategic execution across EDMI’s three operating business units including the coordination of sales, marketing and operations, research and design and EDMI’s internal IT function.
During his recent tenure as Chief Strategy Officer, Andrew has had a significant influence on the optimisation of EDMI’s product portfolio and alignment of strategies across our sales regions. He also served as Executive Director of EDMI ANZ between July 2013 and October 2022. As the regional head, he contributed significantly to the growth of the EDMI business through the leadership of the business during the Australian Power of Choice rollout, including the development and ongoing operation of the EDMI Energy Cloud and Neos Solution. He has led EDMI’s entry into the Smart Gas and Smart Water Solutions market, through successful development and incubation of global offerings in the ANZ market.
Andrew’s career has grown with EDMI through over 25 years within the organisation. He has added a wealth of international metering and technology knowledge to this EDMI heritage via stints in the UK, Singapore and Australia in metering and IoT fields. Andrew has succeeded in a wide range of disciplines during his career including R&D, project delivery, sales and marketing and strategic leadership.
