As EDMI continues to grow across the region, we are seeking a Regional Financial Controller to strengthen financial governance, accuracy, and business partnering across EDMI Philippines. This is a senior leadership role that plays a critical part in enabling sound decision‑making, compliance, and sustainable business performance.
The Regional Financial Controller is responsible for delivering strong financial management across the Philippines region, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and financial planning.
Reporting to the Finance Director – APAC and working very closely supporting the EDMI Philippines Senior Vice President to deliver committed outcomes and manage the EDMI Philippines entity, this role partners closely with regional leadership and EDMI Group (Singapore HQ) to ensure highly accurate, compliant, and timely financial information and processes that support business objectives and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
- Lead and develop finance teams covering accounting, AP/AR, payroll, reporting, and administration.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high‑performance team culture aligned with OneEDMI values.
- Act as escalation point for critical or time‑sensitive finance matters.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams across different time zones as required.
Financial Control & Reporting
- Oversee end‑to‑end finance and accounting operations for EDMI Philippines entities, ensuring alignment with Group policies and IFRS requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow reporting, and reconciled trial balances.
- Prepare statutory accounts, tax filings, and regulatory submissions with a high degree of compliance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Business Partnering & Governance
- Partner with regional leadership to provide financial insights that support business planning and decision‑making.
- Oversee payroll, purchasing controls, and inventory governance in line with EDMI global policies.
- Manage intercompany matters, including transfer pricing support.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, processes, controls, and compliance.
Risk, Quality & Culture
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and governance.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognised institution.
- CPA qualification is required.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant post‑qualification experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in a leadership or people‑management role is highly advantageous.
- Strong experience working in global or multinational organisations, ideally across HQ and subsidiary environments.
- Solid expertise in financial reporting, compliance, audit management, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
- MBA or experience in the smart metering / technology industry is an advantage.
