We are pleased to announce that our 5th terminal residential SMETS2 electricity meter is now in mass production and is ready to be delivered to our customers in the UK for installations.
The ES-12B is a variant of the 4 terminal single phase SMETS electricity meter (ES-10B) and builds on its successful design and usability. The additional 5th terminal has been added to expand our product portfolio and extend our offering to our customers.
- 5th terminal allows for more sophisticated scheduling of power then an Economy 7 meter
- The additional terminal allows for a separate tariff to be applied to respond to periods of increased or decreased power supply to the customer
- The design is based on the existing 4 terminal ES-10B which has already been through due diligence
- ES-12B operates on the same firmware as ES-10B and benefits from the same features and upgradeability
- Minimal hardware and mechanical changes will allow EDMI to utilise the same production line as ES-10B in China
